Etherial, nicknamed the silent prince, or the ice prince, has a very special power that keeps him from really connecting and understanding others. Ether finds it hard to have sympathy for anyone but himself, his mother, and his best friend Xhi. His power allows him to truly be separate from his subjects and advisers- the king included. He is able to slip inside the mind of someone else with ease as he lacks the self-control to keep to himself, often times he has no desire to. At others- like during the selection he finds he is able to keep to himself only due to the fact that their minds offer nothing of interest to him unless he can use them politically. Ether lacks real compassion for others and disregards the feelings of the people surrounding him and can manipulate their emotions so he finds most things trivial- as well as twisting their ideals- morals- thoughts- desires- he can force anyone he wants to do his bidding if he truly wanted or needed it, though he does refrain from doing that at his mother’s most kind request. If it were not for his mother he would be off the deep end- many many things would operate differently if he were to use his power to his full limits then he would be a force to be reckoned with. Due to his power he finds himself bored and using his free time to listen and record gossip, he has currently thirty-four volumes with over 678 subjects. He has a cold and unforgiving personality and look about him, he manipulates his subjects to see him differently than he actually appears- sometimes he is taller, sometimes he has long pink hair- or short black hair- the tattoos always stay. He can’t resist the temptation of changing his appearance slightly- especially to fit the ideas others may have of him, just to mess with them. This is why is a little nervous around cameras- his appearance does not change, he is incapable of editing it through a screen, so those are the very few times people can get a glimpse of his true self.
